Self-custody what crosses the relay

✓ a payment proposal (state #, balances)
✓ a 64-byte state signature (public)
✗ never a private key · ✗ never funds
The relay can drop or reorder messages — a liveness nuisance — but can never move funds or forge a board update. The board enforces monotonicity + both-party checkDataSig on-chain.

Every Send is a real on-chain update of a BchChannelBoardUni covenant on chipnet: you sign the new state with your key, the peer signs it with theirs (over the relay), and you broadcast — signing only your own fee inputs. Strictly monotonic; a stale state can never overwrite a newer one. ADR-0046 · T6 MVP Phase 4b.
