Five explorations plus the current rendered concept, each pitched at the app's palette (acid green on sky-deep) with a tide-blue accent for oceanic depth. Every mark reads at favicon size (16 px) and at logotype size, pairs cleanly with the Fraunces wordmark, and carries something specific to Potidaea — the city, the myth, or the mechanism.
Poseidon's trident with one prong replaced by an upward arrow — the Automated Swap Mechanism as the upward motion of a counterparty-free swap. Neon-cyan on deep-ocean, 3D rendering. Raster only: the glow treatment does not vectorize cleanly, so an SVG flat variant is a follow-up. Where the five explorations below describe the design space, this is the concept currently in flight.
Poseidon's trident inside the orbit ring already anchoring the app's "orbital swap" narrative. The prongs read as arrows (in / out / mid) — the covenant's three-way flow. Reads at 16 px as a solid Ψ inside a circle.
A stone dropped in still water — the ripple radiates outward, unlimited. Encodes the app's "oceanic liquidity, zero slippage" thesis without saying it. Abstract, timeless, and legible at every size.
The Greek letter psi — Poseidon's symbol, and visually a trident. One glyph, no ornament. Works as a monogram anywhere text goes: buttons, tabs, docs. Might be too spare on its own; strongest paired with a wordmark.
Sacred logarithmic spiral — math and ocean at once. Nods to the covenant's fixed ratio (rate by consensus) and to Poseidon's world. Elegant but reads less immediately at 16 px than the others.
The Greek storage vessel from ancient Mediterranean trade — literally the covenant's reservoir that holds the backing. The most narratively-specific mark: nobody else's icon looks like this. Requires clean line-drawing so it holds up at small sizes.
