# Deviant — Epigrams, Taglines & Mottos
*A standing collection. Every line below is available for any use — the groupings further down are
**suggestions, not restrictions.** A line filed under "manifesto" may work perfectly as a hero line
in the right context, and vice versa. Pick freely per case; nothing here is reserved.*

## Origin & thesis
The seed thought was not about MBA — it was about the Bitcoin Cash story: a version of Bitcoin that
endured sustained public attack, ideological and financial pressure, the "market has decided"
narrative, depreciation and humiliation — and kept building, kept its principles, refused to abandon
the chain. The reading: **what is publicly believed or appears true is not always true, and the
reader will discover the real thing for themselves.**
This generalizes cleanly to the product. An MBA does not ask to be believed; it can be verified
on-chain. The motto and the mechanism say the same thing: don't trust the appearance — discover the
truth.

## Primary line
> **The truth is not what appears to be. The truth is what you will discover.**
*"will discover" is preferred over "have to discover" — less burden, more inevitability, fitting a
community proven patient rather than forced.*

## Suggested fits (non-binding)

The same lines again, grouped only as a starting hint for where each *might* land. Use any line in
any case.

### Wallet splash / contemplative — context-free, travels anywhere
- The truth is not what appears to be. The truth is what you will discover.
- Truth isn't shown to you. It's found by you.
- Appearances are given. Truth is discovered.
### Hero / CTA — punchy
- Stop believing. Start discovering.
- Don't trust what it looks like. Discover what it is.
### On-chain / verification angle
- What you see is appearance. What you verify is truth.
- The surface shows you appearance. The chain shows you truth.
- Nothing here asks for your trust. Everything here invites your discovery.
### Manifesto / essay intro — names the conflict (partisan; use where the reader already knows the Bitcoin Cash story, e.g. Vol.13)
- They told you it was decided. It wasn't. Discover why.
- Consensus is what you're told. Truth is what survives the pressure.
- The market declares winners. Time reveals them.

- They were told they were wrong. They kept building anyway. Discover why.
### Endurance — without naming the fight (claims persistence, not victory)
- Some truths don't win the argument. They outlast it.
### MBA / backing — invisible-force motif
- The value is real even when unseen — like gravity holding a star in place.
- What holds it up is invisible. That doesn't make it less real. Discover it.
### Pairs with the existing mindmap epigram ("Discovered truths are permanent.")
- Appearances change. Discovered truths are permanent.

## Placement note
A loose guide, not a rule. The clean core line travels everywhere — a newcomer needs no context to
feel it. The pointed, conflict-naming lines carry more force but assume the reader knows the
block-size-war history; they tend to land best in manifestos and essays, and can misfire on a wallet
splash that a first-time visitor hits before they know the story. Treat this as intuition to override
whenever a specific case calls for it.
