site: slash-less page URLs; /theseus is the Theseus page, /tools the overview
Canonical silentmode.st URLs no longer carry a trailing slash (/tools, not
/tools/). nginx (tracked now in VPS/SilentMode/silentmode-st.nginx) 301s
the old form and serves <dir>/index.html; sub-sites deployed from other
repos with relative asset paths (deviant, sirius-x, theseus-x, hephaestus.x,
fly.x, code) keep their directory URLs. Every page's internal links are
now site-root-relative, which resolves correctly both at /x on nginx and
under the BNS gateway's injected <base href="/bns/silentmode.bch/"> — the
old ../x/ links were already broken on the gateway route.
/theseus becomes the Silent Mode-headered Theseus page (what it is, what's
inside, Windows + Android downloads with manifest hashes, verify), linking
out to the sovereign theseus.x whose VPS mirror moves to /theseus-x/, the
same split as /sirius vs /sirius-x/. /tools is repurposed as the overview:
every site, the on-chain twins, the other clients (relay, Firefox, the
standalone Ariadne Resolver) and the machine endpoints. The old tools page
carried stale APK and resolver hashes; the new pages use the manifest's,
verified against the files on dl.silentmode.st.

site audit: home, Ariadne page, Hermes downloads, releases/dl consolidation
Home: Prometheus and Hermes are live, not "designed"; new Ariadne and
Pithos cards; VPN, Bergamot and Mirrors linked; the page no longer claims
to run on nginx or to list "seven pieces".
/ariadne: new Silent Mode-headered page for the resolver family — Android
browser (APK, hash, signing key), standalone Windows resolver, how a lookup
resolves — linking out to the sovereign ariadne.x. "Ariadne" tab added to
every page's top nav; VPN and Bergamot navs normalised to the site-root
scheme while there.
Hermes: Download section (Windows installer + MSI, Android APK with hashes
from the manifest, web messenger), mobile and Windows marked live, hero
image path fixed; the brand-kit page's links were relative to a URL that
no longer has a trailing slash and the folder had never been deployed.
Releases/dl: the live dl manifest had been overwritten from a stale base
and was serving 0.3.106 to updaters while 0.3.110 was on the host; merged
(union) and reshipped. Manifest gains hermes-android/hermes-desktop; keep
policy aligned between the page (releases-page.mjs) and the VPS
(dl-vps-archive.sh, new, all products) so the page never links a build the
host no longer has. dl.silentmode.st/ now serves a generated index with
absolute links; dl-latest.sh tracked in-repo and extended with Hermes rows.
scripts/site-linkcheck.mjs resolves links the way the slash-less URLs do.

site audit: home, Ariadne page, Hermes downloads, releases/dl consolidation

First, Android 11+ package visibility was blocking the tg:// deep link — the OS silently fell through to a browser (or threw) even with Telegram installed, so our startActivity could never actually dispatch /start to the bot; fixed by declaring the tg:// and https://t.me intents in the manifest < queries> block. Second, the https://t.me/< bot> ?start=< nonce> URL only auto-sends /start on a brand-new chat with the bot — once you had opened the bot even once (common after a first verify attempt), the chat reopened with no Share-Phone button and no retry path; Hermes now prefers tg://resolve, which fires /start regardless of chat state. Polling also starts the moment a nonce is minted (not only on return from Telegram), honours the server's 10-minute nonce TTL instead of giving up at three, and the pane now carries Check-status-now / Reopen-Telegram-chat / Cancel-and-start-over controls so a stale verify can be unstuck without leaving the screen.< / div >
site audit: home, Ariadne page, Hermes downloads, releases/dl consolidation

Hermes now polls dl.silentmode.st/releases-manifest.json on launch and on resume, and shows an update banner at the top of the chat list when a newer version is live. Tap Update → downloads the APK via the pinned client, SHA-256-verifies against the manifest field, then launches Android's package installer. Android refuses to install an APK signed by a different key than the running app, so a tampered manifest can at worst waste bandwidth. Same signing key as 0.2.2; installs over it. Requires the one-time Install-unknown-apps grant on first update, which Android shims via Settings.< / div >

releases: keep recent only, generate the page from the manifest; Hermes page catches up
The releases manifest had grown to 63 entries (every Theseus build back to
0.3.59) and the hand-edited page had drifted: Android was two versions
behind and Pithos was never listed. scripts/releases-page.mjs now trims the
manifest to recent versions per product (5 Theseus, 2 others) and rewrites
the page's release blocks from it. Consumers read only the first entry per
product, so nothing they see changes; older builds stay on Sia.
The Hermes subpage still said "designed, not built" and "MVP · desktop".
It now reflects what shipped: web messenger at hermes.x/messenger, three
sign-in paths incl. Theseus ID, three handle spellings, Nostr profiles,
vCard import, opt-in phone discovery, Ariadne's menu entry, and the planned
free sub-identity + Hermes TLDs (mainnet) as designed items.
