Silent Mode — releases

Canonical SHA-256 checksums for every published build. This page lives at the on-chain name releases.silentmode.bch; the name pins where it is served from, so a tampered mirror cannot change what you check against here.

Theseus Navigator 0.3.98

Windows 64-bit · unsigned · 2026-10-21 · 0.3.98 — Namecoin + Handshake adapters — Two more resolvers under Settings › Names & Certificates. Namecoin — .bit names resolve against a configured Namecoin JSON-RPC endpoint and follow translate/alias records to a clearnet host. Namecoin has no free public RPC — set yours in Advanced. Handshake — non-ICANN hostnames route through the public hns.to web gateway (user-overridable). The default collision policy keeps common ICANN TLDs in clearnet; switch to "hns-wins" to always try Handshake first.

Theseus Navigator 0.3.97

Windows 64-bit · unsigned · 2026-10-21 · 0.3.97 — ENS resolver (.eth names → IPFS/IPNS) — First real resolver behind the Names & Certificates toggles. Turn on Settings › Names & Certificates › Ethereum Name Service, then type a .eth name in the address bar; Theseus reads the content hash from the ENS registry on Ethereum (EIP-137 namehash + EIP-1577 contenthash), decodes IPFS/IPNS CIDv0 or CIDv1, and loads the site from a gateway. Defaults: publicnode's free Ethereum RPC + ipfs.io gateway; both user-overridable in Settings › Advanced. Swarm-hosted ENS names return "not yet supported" until we add a swarm gateway option.

Theseus Navigator 0.3.96

Windows 64-bit · unsigned · 2026-10-21 · 0.3.96 — home page: left column back to grid cells, widened layout — The left-column icons return to a 3-column grid of fixed cells, each icon in its own cell. Drag reorders which cell holds which icon, with before/after indicators matching the right-side cards. No more free-floating icons. The homepage max-width widens to 1680px so on wide screens the left column doesn't crowd against the cards. The "+" add button sits in the next free cell.

Theseus Navigator 0.3.95

Windows 64-bit · unsigned · 2026-10-21 · 0.3.95 — Names & Certificates settings page — New top-level Settings section lets you pre-configure which non-BNS name systems Theseus will resolve (ENS, Namecoin, Handshake, SNS, Unstoppable) and which extra TLS roots it will trust (Russian National CA, scoped to .ru/.рф/.gov.ru). BNS stays on by default; everything else is off. Each row has its own Advanced disclosure for RPC URLs, gateways, endpoints, collision policy, and the Russian CA's TLD scope. Choices persist to %APPDATA%\Theseus\extra-resolvers.json. This release is the UI shell — the resolver adapters and the setCertificateVerifyProc hook land in 0.3.96 (ENS) → 0.3.99 (Russian CA), each row's "Not wired yet" caption disappearing as its adapter ships.

Theseus Navigator 0.3.94

Windows 64-bit · unsigned · 2026-10-21 · 0.3.94 — home page: free-drag left area, card descriptions back — The left column goes back to free positioning: each icon stores its own x,y and snaps to a 20px grid; a faint grid shows underneath while dragging so placement feels OS-desktop-like. Clicks still navigate (small move threshold distinguishes click from drag). Dropping a left icon over the right card grid re-parents it as a card; dropping a card onto the left area turns it into a free-positioned icon. Silent Mode cards get their one-line description back under the title. The add/edit modal gains a Description field.

Theseus Navigator 0.3.93

Windows 64-bit · unsigned · 2026-10-20 · 0.3.93 — home page: left slot area becomes a 3-column grid — The left column grows from a single narrow stack to a 3-wide grid of slots so added icons flow sideways instead of pushing the page tall. The "+" add button sits in the next free cell of that same grid. Drag-reorder on the left column switches from above/below to before/after indicators to match the right-side cards; both sections are 2D grids now.

Theseus Navigator 0.3.92

Windows 64-bit · unsigned · 2026-10-13 · 0.3.92 — home page: slot column + card grid under the hero — The hero (compass + Theseus Navigator + search) stays at the top; underneath it a narrow left column of stackable slot tiles (hello.bch, sia.coin, Pithos.sia, Bergamot.X, + add) sits next to a 3-column grid of nine Silent Mode cards (icon on top, title underneath). Right-click opens context menus — background edits (change bg, icon size, add link/card, reset) on empty space, Copy image / Copy link / Open / Edit / Remove on any icon or card. Copy image renders the brand mark to a 256px PNG and writes it to the clipboard. Slot order is drag-and-drop between either column.

Theseus Navigator 0.3.91

Windows 64-bit · unsigned · 2026-10-12 · 0.3.91 — home page polished: hero back, Silent Mode cards, free-drag Your-links — Three refinements to the desktop home from 0.3.90. The hero (compass mark + Theseus Navigator title + tagline + search) returns at the top of the page; the Edit button moves to the top-right corner. Silent Mode on the right is cards again — each card carries the brand icon on the left, a one-line description, and a muted acid badge (Navigator / Registrar / Code host / Wallet / …) on the right. Your-links on the LEFT becomes free-drag, OS-desktop style: each icon stores its own x,y and snaps to a 20px grid; dragging moves it live while a faint grid shows underneath. Existing custom cards still auto-migrate; legacy icons without x,y auto-layout in a tidy 2-column grid near the top.

Theseus Navigator 0.3.90

Windows 64-bit · unsigned · 2026-10-12 · 0.3.90 — a desktop home page — The new-tab page is now a two-column desktop. The right column holds the curated Silent Mode X-family (Theseus.X, SilentMode.X, Sirius.X, Hephaestus.X, Prometheus.X, Hermes.X, Helios.X, Ariadne.X, Aegis.X) with the real brand marks pulled from each product's own site or add-on; the left column is yours — hello.bch, sia.coin, Pithos.sia, Bergamot.X by default, plus anything you add. In edit mode icons pick up and move within and across columns; per-column size pickers (S/M/L/XL), six background presets + a custom colour + image upload. Ariadne's mark is the real face/thread illustration in ancient-Greek-pottery colours. Existing custom cards from the old quick-links grid auto-migrate into the Your-links column.

Theseus Navigator 0.3.89

Windows 64-bit · unsigned · 2026-10-08 · 0.3.89 — switch sidebar apps on and off — Every web app and extension in the sidebar can be switched on and off in Settings › Sidebar: off takes it off the strip but keeps it there, still signed in, for switching back on. The list in Settings shows each app's icon, the same as the strip. Adding an app suggests well-known ones as you type its name or address; the right arrow fills in the suggestion.

Theseus Navigator 0.3.77

Windows 64-bit · unsigned · 2026-10-04 · 0.3.77 — Translator engine choice, Cloudflare block gets a .bch mirror hint — Settings › Language grows a Translator engine row: pick between LibreTranslate (hosted) and Bergamot (on-device, WASM). Bergamot's engine isn't bundled yet so picking it today still routes through LibreTranslate with a one-time notice — see bergamot.x for the plan. Cloudflare Bot Fight 503s now land on a branded error page that explains why Electron browsers trip the fingerprint check, and offers a one-click retry to the site's .bch mirror when one is published (with the original path preserved). A long-standing bug where cert errors during an HTTPS fallback were silently swallowed is fixed. Bundles Pithos 0.3.13 (menu reflows in setup order with the account on top, files waiting to upload are shown and go up on their own).

Theseus Navigator 0.3.76

Windows 64-bit · unsigned · 2026-10-04 · 0.3.76 — Pithos at pithos.sia, music in background tabs — Pithos now opens at its own address: pithos.sia/your-user/your-drive/your-folder, signed in while your vault is unlocked, instead of a 127.0.0.1 address. Music keeps playing when you switch to another tab, since tabs playing sound are no longer paused in the background. A widened left panel now covers the page instead of squeezing it and the right sidebar, and the tab that was open when you closed Theseus loads on launch. Bundles Pithos 0.3.10 (icon/list/details views, a layout that fits the sidebar, a music player, an Account page and an update button) and Aegis 0.31.0 (the security audit fixes).

Ariadne Resolver — Windows 0.1.13

Windows 64-bit · unsigned · bundled Node runtime · 2026-10-01 · 0.1.13 — every subsystem is switchable and reports its own state — New endpoint http://127.0.0.1/api/status returns a full state report: daemon version + startup + policy + permitted TLDs + ports + upstream + gateway; index size + warm-start source; and per-source enabled/lastAttempt/lastSuccess/lastError/counters for snapshotHttps, electrumWss, perQueryLookup, diskCache, localApi. Same JSON drives a settings UI (once Theseus's Plug-ins panel picks it up) and is a support-ready "current state" dump. C:\ProgramData\Ariadne\policy.json extended with a sources.<name>.enabled block (hot-reloaded every 5 s alongside the collision policy) — flip any source off to isolate a path or measure without it. Includes 0.1.12 (orphan-safe upgrade + local BNS indexer API). Upgrades in place.

Ariadne for Android 0.20

Android 5.0+ (API 21) · self-signed release key · 2026-09-28 · 0.20 — every live TLD, fresh snapshot — Every live BNS TLD is claimed by the on-device resolver. The app took its TLD list from the registry's legacy advertised set (nine TLDs), so a name under a newer TLD was only intercepted once it had turned up in the local index; the app now reads the registry's routable list (every TLD on the public listing, 24 today), and ships a bootstrap list matching it for cold start. The cold-start snapshot it pulls from the CDN is now refreshed every ten minutes from the gateway's index instead of by hand, so a fresh install sees names registered minutes ago rather than weeks. Same signing key; installs over 0.19.

How to verify. After downloading, compute the file's SHA-256 and compare it to the value above — on Windows: certutil -hashfile <file> SHA256; on Android, hash the downloaded .apk on a computer before you move it to the phone, or use any file-hashing app. Nothing here is signed by an authority your device already trusts — by design — so it will warn about an unrecognized app; the checksum is the real check. The machine-readable manifest is at releases-manifest.json.
