# Working files & exports

Author SVGs edit-in-place under `brand/{logo,icon,social}/`. This directory is
for **derivative** files that shouldn't clutter the primary directories.

## Structure

- `exports/` — PNGs generated from the primary SVGs. Do not check in unless a
  specific delivery pipeline requires them.
- `sketches/` — WIP art, alternates, rejected variants (kept for provenance).

## Exporting to PNG

Any of these work; pick what's installed.

**Font gotcha:** Fraunces and DM Sans are Google Fonts. If the renderer does
not have them installed locally, the PNG will show the fallback (Georgia /
system sans). For high-fidelity social exports, install both:

# Then drop Fraunces + DM Sans .ttf files into ~/.fonts/ and run fc-cache -fv
```

Or export from a browser (`file://` open + screenshot at the target size) —
Chrome/Firefox honour the Google Fonts `<link>` if the SVG references it,
though our brand SVGs use plain `<text>` with a system-safe stack, so the
Fraunces + DM Sans rendering happens only when those faces are locally
available.
