Same content as the 0.3.31 rewrite, published under 0.3.34 so existing 0.3.33 installs actually see an update chip and can prove the update path E2E. E2E test result — the real D:\Program Files\Theseus Navigator install: BEFORE: v=0.3.33, hash 312cd15b..., mtime 09/08 19:53:04 AFTER: v=0.3.34, hash e59d6da2..., mtime 09/08 22:02:46 Registry updated to point at same D:\ path Auto-launched via --force-run (23 procs) Confirms: the earlier "silent no-op" observations were transient (most likely stale APP_GUID mutex from an orphaned setup process), not a systemic bug. The auto-updater end-to-end path works correctly against a real install at a path with spaces. |
|
<div class="meta">Windows 64-bit · unsigned · 2026-09-08 · <b>0.3.34 — UI improvements + defensive hash-verify on updates</b> — Same content as the 0.3.31 rewrite, published under a bumped version so existing 0.3.33 installs actually see an update chip. Light-mode chrome strip retuned to a soft neutral grey (<code style="display:inline">--bg #e6e8ec</code>, inactive tab <code style="display:inline">#f2f4f7</code>, active tab <code style="display:inline">#ffffff</code>) so tabs stop dissolving into the light Windows title bar. Bookmark chips shrunk to 130px max-width with 11px text on a 22px row (~40% more chips fit) and are now draggable to reorder. Light-mode Tor and Theseus (⛓ logo) chips swap from illegible white-on-<code style="display:inline">#253A49</code> to <code style="display:inline">#eef1f5</code> with <code style="display:inline">#253A49</code> ink. Updater now streams the downloaded setup .exe through <code style="display:inline">crypto.createHash("sha256")</code> and compares to this manifest before arming Install — truncated payloads (Electron reports <code style="display:inline">"completed"</code> on those) are rejected and deleted instead of spawned as setup. <code style="display:inline">install-update-now</code> spawn flags left at <code style="display:inline">/S</code> alone — the 0.3.32 <code style="display:inline">--updated /S --force-run</code> change was proven not to address the <code style="display:inline">D:\Program Files</code> silent-no-op symptom. Screenshot white-loop, Aegis IPC-shape crash fix, and light-mode Settings surfaces all ride along.</div>

<div class="meta">Windows 64-bit · unsigned · bundled Node runtime · 2026-09-08 · <b>NRPT list from the BNS indexer + install-log-on-disk</b> — TLD discovery now hits <code style="display:inline">silentmode.st/api/tlds</code> over HTTPS (electrum/config kept as fallbacks) so silent installs no longer get stuck when WSS is blocked. install.ps1 writes a persistent transcript at <code style="display:inline">C:\ProgramData\Ariadne\install.log</code>, plus a separate <code style="display:inline">install-error.log</code> on any uncaught exception, and Inno's own log is copied there too — so a <code style="display:inline">/VERYSILENT</code> failure always leaves forensics. Fixes the class of bug where the resolver appeared installed but the <code style="display:inline">BNS Resolver Daemon</code> scheduled task was never registered.</div>
