AI picker chevron fixed; home polish (no section titles, + Add card
matches card shape, empty slots invisible until hover); performance
toggles — Pithos on-demand with a pithosAtLaunch opt-in, Hermes
auto-restore now a Settings > Performance > Startup toggle.
Consumers take the first manifest entry per product id, so the previous
non-transitive sort could leave Hermes 0.3.0 ahead of 0.3.1. dl-latest.sh
now picks the first matching file that exists, since an entry can be
published minutes before its binary lands.
Four pages were advertising stale shipped versions:
* /theseus (Mobile · Android card) → Ariadne for Android v0.19 /
146 KB. Replace with v0.52 / 315 KB and the current APK hash.
The /latest/ariadne.apk link already redirects to the versioned
APK, so the download button itself was already current — only
the printed version string + checksum lagged.
* /tools (Ariadne Resolver for Windows card) → v0.1.3. Replace
with v0.1.13 and the current installer hash.
* /ariadne-x (hero download row + family-footer Sia mirror) and
/ariadne-x/thread/ (family-footer Sia mirror) → bump the
explicit filename from ariadne-v0.51.apk to ariadne-v0.52.apk
so the links don't 404 out when a visitor copies them.
Home: Prometheus and Hermes are live, not "designed"; new Ariadne and
Pithos cards; VPN, Bergamot and Mirrors linked; the page no longer claims
to run on nginx or to list "seven pieces".
/ariadne: new Silent Mode-headered page for the resolver family — Android
browser (APK, hash, signing key), standalone Windows resolver, how a lookup
resolves — linking out to the sovereign ariadne.x. "Ariadne" tab added to
every page's top nav; VPN and Bergamot navs normalised to the site-root
scheme while there.
Hermes: Download section (Windows installer + MSI, Android APK with hashes
from the manifest, web messenger), mobile and Windows marked live, hero
image path fixed; the brand-kit page's links were relative to a URL that
no longer has a trailing slash and the folder had never been deployed.
Releases/dl: the live dl manifest had been overwritten from a stale base
and was serving 0.3.106 to updaters while 0.3.110 was on the host; merged
(union) and reshipped. Manifest gains hermes-android/hermes-desktop; keep
policy aligned between the page (releases-page.mjs) and the VPS
(dl-vps-archive.sh, new, all products) so the page never links a build the
host no longer has. dl.silentmode.st/ now serves a generated index with
absolute links; dl-latest.sh tracked in-repo and extended with Hermes rows.
scripts/site-linkcheck.mjs resolves links the way the slash-less URLs do.
Horizontal Silent Mode cards with icon+title on the left and
description on the right, semi-transparent card backgrounds, refreshed
tagline and address-bar tip.
Hero mark joins the Theseus Navigator wordmark in a readable translucent
pill; left-column slot area widens to roughly five columns of 72 px
tiles so more quick-launch icons fit without crowding.
- Home page now shows the left-column links and the Silent Mode cards
as two self-contained panels; slot icons default to a size closer to
Windows desktop shortcuts.
- Opt-in Claude connector (bundled extension, off by default) gains
three hardenings: origin re-check before every CDP read/input,
bearer-token rotation on stop, point-level password-field refusal in
click(x, y) without a ref.
The sidebar strip's AI engine picker is now a styled HTML overlay with
real per-engine icons, acid-accent highlight for the current engine,
and a settings shortcut at the bottom — replacing the plain native
menu. One click selects an engine and opens it in the left panel.
- Left-column slot grid grows to fixed 3-col cells with visible drop
targets. Links pin to a specific cell when dropped on an empty slot;
dropping on a filled slot swaps the two. Unpinned links auto-flow.
- Ariadne.X home card switches to the brand kit's ivory-on-dark bust
(variant-ivory-glow) in place of the terracotta pottery sketch,
which was designed for cream backgrounds and got lost on dark.
List 0.3.104 with its hashes so the updater and the download pages offer it. The theseus.x page also gets the right hashes again (they had been left on an older build), and the Theseus page keeps the ariadne-v0.29.apk wording that was already live.
- Sidebar panel context menu (Copy image + Save as + link menu +
back/forward/reload). Fixes a long-standing gap where WhatsApp Web
and other sites that intercept right-click left users with no way
to copy an image from the sidebar panel.
- Hermes mark in the sidebar strip tightens its viewBox so the V-fold
and wings fill the icon instead of sitting in whitespace.
The releases manifest had grown to 63 entries (every Theseus build back to
0.3.59) and the hand-edited page had drifted: Android was two versions
behind and Pithos was never listed. scripts/releases-page.mjs now trims the
manifest to recent versions per product (5 Theseus, 2 others) and rewrites
the page's release blocks from it. Consumers read only the first entry per
product, so nothing they see changes; older builds stay on Sia.
The Hermes subpage still said "designed, not built" and "MVP · desktop".
It now reflects what shipped: web messenger at hermes.x/messenger, three
sign-in paths incl. Theseus ID, three handle spellings, Nostr profiles,
vCard import, opt-in phone discovery, Ariadne's menu entry, and the planned
free sub-identity + Hermes TLDs (mainnet) as designed items.
Before: the on-sky lockup had a dark mark with dark cutouts — the fold
V-shape disappeared because the cutouts matched the mark colour instead
of the sky backdrop. Same on cream.
Now three per-surface mark variants, cutouts coloured to match the
expected background so it shows through:
mark.svg sky body + navy cutouts → dark panel
mark-on-sky.svg navy body + sky cutouts → sky-blue surface
mark-on-light.svg navy body + cream cutouts → light surface
Logo lockups rebuilt the same way: logo-horizontal-on-sky.svg uses the
dark+sky mark variant, logo-horizontal-light.svg uses the dark+cream
mark variant, same for stacked.
Branding page's on-sky / on-light preview cells repointed at the new
variants. addon.json bumped to 0.2.6 (same mark, re-emitted from
pipeline for byte parity with the sites).
Two bugs the deployed branding page surfaced:
1. site-hermes-x/branding/index.html referenced logo/avatar/banner/og/poster
files as same-dir paths, but they actually live in site-hermes-x/assets/.
Rewrite 15 asset refs (src= + href= download links) to ../assets/<name>.
2. The "on sky" mark preview cell used mark.svg (sky-blue), which was
invisible against the sky background. Add mark-dark.svg (same vector,
fills swapped to deep navy) and point the on-sky cell at it.
Also noted during deploy: the on-chain s3 record for hermes.x points to
bns/hermes/ (same convention as [[theseus-x-sia-bucket]]), not bns/hermes.x/.
The VPS systemd sync service was pointing at the wrong bucket and has been
corrected to s3://bns/hermes/.
Follow-up to 120dd8e1 which committed only the branding page rewrite but
dropped the binary assets. All kit files now land in both mirrors:
site/hermes/branding/ and site-hermes-x/assets/.
Each generated by the Python compositor at
scratchpad/build_brand_kit.py from the user's own file.svg master.
Two tweaks so the mark reads at sidebar size.
- addon.json/mark.svg (and every mirror of mark.svg across the sites):
rebuild with ZERO padding around the content bbox so the icon fills
the slot vertically — before it was centred in a square viewBox that
wasted ~45% of pixels. Version bumped to 0.2.5 so Theseus re-seeds.
- quicklinks.html: .icon svg, .icon img goes from 20×20 to 26×26
(container stays 34×34; same breathing room, bigger glyph). Ships
with the next Theseus release — can't be hot-patched into the asar.
Deploy state: site-hermes-x is live on the VPS and in bns/hermes.x/ via
the silentmode-sia-sync systemd timer, which was extended to include
hermes-x alongside sirius-x and bergamot. Future rsyncs of site-hermes-x/
to the VPS auto-sync to Sia within 5 minutes.
User supplied the real vector source at Hermes/Icons/file.svg. Dropped the
background rectangle, kept the sky-blue foreground + dark inner detail
cutouts, squared the viewBox around the content bbox with a small margin.
Result: ~6.6 KB SVG, pixel-perfect at every size — no more 60x downscale
blur.
- bundled-addons/hermes/assets/mark.svg: tight-cropped vector
(viewBox centres the icon in a square so 1:1 slots don't crop).
- bundled-addons/hermes/assets/mark-64.svg: same, pre-normalised to a
0..64 viewBox for legacy consumers that assume that range.
- bundled-addons/hermes/addon.json: version 0.2.4; manifest icon is now
the SVG as a data:image/svg+xml;base64 URI (8.8 KB vs the previous
16 KB PNG data URI).
- bundled-addons/hermes/panel.html: both img tags point at mark.svg at
24 and 72 px.
- home.html / home-brand/hermes-mark.svg: Hermes.X tile uses the vector.
- site/hermes/{favicon,branding/mark}.svg: both now the user's artwork.
- site-hermes-x/assets/{favicon,mark}.svg: same.
- All /hermes site HTML img tags swapped from mark.webp to mark.svg.
Installed bundle + user-data cache hot-patched to 0.2.4 so this takes
effect on the running Theseus without a reinstall.
